Hash Plant is a real, old-school indica lineage — but 'Hash Plant' on a seed pack today can mean almost anything. The original Sensi Seeds cut traces back to a Northern Lights parent crossed with an Afghan hashplant selection, but multiple unrelated 'Hash Plants' circulate. Expect a squat, fast-flowering, resinous plant with heavy sedating effects. Everything beyond that — exact percentages, terpene profile, therapeutic claims — is marketing or anecdote, not measured fact.
Overview
Hash Plant is a heritage indica line that entered the Dutch seed market in the late 1980s and early 1990s, most famously through Sensi Seeds [1]. It was named for the resinous, hashish-oriented Afghan landrace stock in its background — plants selected historically in the Hindu Kush region for sieved hashish production [2].
The plant is typically short, broad-leaved, and finishes fast. Buds are dense, dark green, and heavily frosted. It is one of the archetypal 'heavy' indicas that shaped Western indoor cannabis breeding, and it appears as a parent in many later hybrids, including some phenotypes of G-13 Haze and various 'Kush' crosses.
