Temperature is not a cosmetic setting. It changes which cannabinoids and terpenes actually leave the plant material, how much of them you inhale, and how many unwanted thermal degradation products come along for the ride. The idea that 'a vape is a vape' is folklore from forums, not evidence. Lower temps favor terpenes and a lighter effect; higher temps extract more THC but also more irritants.
